Safety rules for Tactical Pistol Training
- Always Point the Gun in a Safe Direction:
A muzzle pointed safe, without friction,
Is rule one for safe gun depiction.
Never point at a mate,
Or tempt a sad fate,
It’s the cardinal rule, not fiction! - Keep Your Finger Off the Trigger:
Keep your finger straight, off the trigger,
Till your target’s identified, figure.
When you’re ready to shoot,
Then it’s time to contribute,
Else a premature shot might be bigger. - Be Sure of Your Target and Beyond:
Be sure of your target, and then some,
What’s beyond it, don’t play it humdrum.
Check the foreground, and back,
For safety don’t slack,
Ensure no harm will come. - Use the Correct Ammunition:
Use ammo that’s right for your gun,
Wrong bullets can spoil all the fun.
Check your caliber size,
For a safe shooting prize,
Ensuring harm will be none. - Wear Eye and Ear Protection:
With ear and eye protection, you’re set,
For a shooting experience without fret.
Block the noise, shield your eyes,
Safety gear is wise,
Ensures you leave as you met. - Never Use Alcohol or Drugs Before Shooting:
Never shoot under influence’s wing,
Alcohol and guns, a dangerous fling.
Stay sober, stay clear,
For safety, my dear,
Ensures you won’t regret the sting.
