Not all “conspiracy theories” are true. Not all “conspiracy theories” are false. Many fall somewhere in the middle. History, as we were taught, is definitely not complete, unbiased, accurate or reliable. Is does seem reasonable though to recognize that there have been many “bad times” throughout history. We all hope everything will be perfect moving forward, but …

As civilizations change (Geek out with this great Book) and wealth transfers from one class to another, there will be interpersonal human conflict. It seems that the current change is taking place with much more planning and forethought than many “changes” in the past. Typically, the transfer is made either though war, looting, armed civil unrest, or though the veil of government benevolence. Essentially, if Jane works harder and smarter and saves more wealth than Jill, in time, Jill will either use personal force or government force to steal the money from Jane. Within some generations, the Jane types will earn the wealth back, and the Jill types will again steal it.

There are global shifts as well as localized shifts. Like you and me, other people are sitting over a drink and wondering what they might do to make the world a better place. They have more money than you and me (and more than your fund manages) and are making some interesting things happen. While we don’t like these current shifts, the kind of good news, is that they are well-planned and are not as violent as many shifts have been in the past. Much is being accomplished without 99.5% of the world’s population even noticing.
I mention this background to say that I do not predict that 2020 through 2050 will be the most immediately violent and miserable years in human history. That is the good news. Yes, excluding the wealthiest 20 families alive, the rest of us will see an 80/20 shift of wealth over the next generation. While it could happen that the ruling class at national levels could lose control from time to time and rioting will happen in cities, I do not anticipate years of prolonged Mad Max living in the US. I suggest that the covid-panic of 2020 has shown quite clearly how much control the ruling class has, I do not predict roving bands of gypsies -looting from the inner cities traveling across the country in caravans raping and killing farmers to steal the gas from their ATVs.

Most of the knowledge of shooting firearms can be taught without actually using live ammunition.
