The wonderful hunting opportunities in Wyoming are worth being prepared for. All too often, hunters visiting from out of town and locals alike bring an excellent rifle with an excellent scope, but when the time comes to take that all important shot – the bullet does not find its mark and either wounds an animal or misses completely. Why?
The top reasons for misses while big game hunting are:
- Scopes not being properly sighted in
- Nervousness (buck fever)
- Ammunition/gun/scope unfamiliarity.
- Insufficient practice

We assist you with our tools & knowledge as you ensure all screws and bedding bolts are tight on your rifle and that your scope is properly mounted.
Then, with our instructors’ help, you will sight in your rifle.
Once we have ensured your equipment is working as it should, we then work with you on several drills with a shot timer to help reduce buck fever. You will be amazed at your improvement from our short time together! These drills will help you set your own thresholds for deciding when a shot is doable and when more stalking is required.
