This 2-Hour Youth Gun Safety and Skills Party is perfect for young folks between the ages of 8 and 18. As far as they are concerned, it is a “party” however as their parents and shooting instructors we know it is much more. Our instructor’s focus on safety is evident in this experience, and as you observe the event, you will notice intelligent teaching techniques that result in young women and men that have a respect for the dangerous nature of firearms. They will develop safe handling skills and will do this while having fun!
Even if you are not a “gun family” or don’t like guns, with hundreds of millions of guns in the Americas, your little person will some day likely have occasion to be in the presence of one. We strongly recommend that you provide them with a solid foundational knowledge of firearms before they are exposed in a less safe 
environment.
This Youth Gun Safety and Skills Party package is customizable and always begins with a safety briefing and being outfitted with electronic ear protection and eye protection. At no time will more than one shooter be firing a gun per coach. This 1:1 ratio keeps things safe!
The first shooters will begin shooting 22 caliber rifles at targets placed between 25 and 100 yards. Coaches will have approximately 10 rifles on hand and will select appropriate rifles. Later, handguns will also be introduced for shooters who have demonstrated safe handling skills.
Depending on the maturity level of shooters, toward the end of the experience, larger caliber firearms may be introduced. These may include both rifles and handguns.
Typically, these events include timed competitions, sometimes involving physical exertion prior to shooting. Most events include peer coaching, a style in which the children are asked to teach their peers particular tasks, which helps them take lessons seriously and pay close attention.
