Originally from Southern California, Jay Cummings grew up near the beach, playing team sports, and going on lots of trips with his family! His interest in firearms began in college when he began taking handgun training courses in Nevada. After getting married, Jay and his wife, Nina, first came out to Jackson while living in a van (https://www.jayxnina.com/) with plans of only staying for the summer as they worked as rock climbing guides. However, after falling in love with the Tetons, it was no surprise that he also stayed to work that winter as a Private Ski Instructor (email jaycummings@pm.me for bookings) at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort.
After discovering JHSE, Jay embraced the idea that “the best way to learn is to teach.” Since being trained, he has hit the ground running and now competes in both handgun and long range precision shooting competitions! He is excellent training children, families and individuals. Safety is a priority!
