Growing up in Idaho, CJ spent most of his time on horseback working on ranches. He rode saddle bronc professionally and team roped as well. He moved to Wyoming right out of high school and started to work in the oil fields.
He soon became a certified police officer in Wyoming at the age of 23. He continued his career in law enforcement and is currently working for the Jackson Police Department as a patrol officer, the same department JHSE founder Shepard Humphries began working over 30 years ago. CJ took an early retirement from law enforcement after 9 years and is currently working more full time for the JHSE.
CJ loves the fun sport of shooting and always loves to shoot with others. Yes, his hair color is real, it is NOT a dye job.
In late 2023, CJ moved to the Eastern side of the state to manage a large ranch.
