Berkeley Johnston

Berkeley’s father introduced him to shooting when he was about 9.  They set up a miniature shooting range in the basement for his Red Ryder BB Gun.  Within a few years, Berkeley upgraded from basement plinking to proper marksmanship with .22 caliber rifles.  He and his father loved shooting together, so when Berkeley was 12, they began Cowboy Action Shooting together at their local gun club.  Think John Wayne movie mixed with a speed shooting competition.  All these years later, Berk’s favorite way to shoot is with his leather holsters, 1880’s six shooters, and lever-action rifle.
While in college studying Civil Engineering, Berkeley found the best woman in the world and married her in 2017!  🙂  In 2021, they moved to Jackson to be near family and near the mountains.  You can often find them walking around the bike paths with their three kids.  They are also very involved in their local church, First Baptist of Jackson Hole, and love paddleboarding on the lakes around the valley.  When not on kid duty, Berkeley mountain bikes, skis, and golfs.
Throughout his young shooting career, and while a Boy Scout as a teen, Berkeley developed a passion for sharing and teaching shooting sports with an emphasis on both firearm safety and fun.  Joining the Jackson Hole Shooting Experience in 2023 was a perfect match, helping folks and families make fun, lifelong memories while learning how to shoot together.
