People seeking a Wyoming Concealed Firearms permit have very minimal State government requirements for proof of firearms familiarization. We provide greater value at no additional expense to our Pistol Pro students by teaching more than just the basics of firearms familiarization with our Online CFP Class, we teach about legal aspects, ethical & moral aspects, situational awareness, prevention and defensive tactics. This class will help you decide if you want the responsibility of using protective tools, and will empower you to make peaceful choices, using violent defense only as a last resort.
*These videos do NOT count as “proof of firearms familiarization, they are a supplement to in-person live-fire shooting instruction.
What is in this Online CFP Class?
Take our new ONLINE course which contains three hours of video slideshow lectures. This online “classroom” portion is not required by Wyoming State law, taking ONLY our Pistol Pro class will meet the minimum standards, and some people choose to only meet minimum standards.
- Video section 1: Basic handgun operation and shooting
- Video section 2: Legal, moral and psychological
- Video section 3: Tactical
*Again, this online 3-hour portion is optional. It is not “required” by Wyoming State law to apply for your CFP. Responsible people will want to complete this online portion, however government law does not require it. We offer this video training at no additional cost along with the purchase of our Pistol Pro class or even our discounted Range Day classes for “locals.” You will receive a code to attend the video training for free!

THIS is the process for applying for a Concealed Firearms Permit in Jackson Hole.
Range Session Class Length:
- Two hours
Required firearms related gear:
- Handgun (or rent ours)
- 30 or more rounds of .22LR ammunition (or use ours)
- 20 or more rounds of larger caliber ammunition (9mm, 38spcl, .45ACP etc) (or use ours)
- (Ammunition prices have almost tripled since February 2020, and we would prefer that you bring your own rather than using ours.)
Included in class price, we will provide:
- Instruction
- Loaner electronic hearing protection
- Loaner eye protection
- Steel and paper targets
