Many people want a solid foundation in firearms familiarization and safety. Are you interested in a class that qualifies under Wyoming State Statute 6-8-104 (b)(vii)(d for a Wyoming Concealed Carry permit?
Wyoming Catholic College has arranged for NRA Training Counselors Shepard Humphries and Lynn Sherwood to provide a customized handgun class in Lander, Wyoming on January 8 and 9, 2020.
January 8, 2020 5pm to 8pm in Stong Hall
- Classroom lecture and hands-on practice handling handguns including pistols and revolvers. A “working dinner” of pizza will be provided.
January 9, 2020 various 1-hour blocks throughout the day at Lander Valley Sportmen’s Club
- Semi-Private shooting instruction. Upon arrival, each team of two students will be matched with their private instructor to fire a 1-hour qualification course.
- Evening final exam and discussion from 6pm to 8pm in Stong Hall
Upon completion of the classroom portion, the course of live fire and the exam, students will receive a certificate of completion that meets Wyoming’s requirements to apply for a concealed firearms permit.

Students are also required to pay $5 of their own money upon registration.
