May 27, 2017 USC Rexburg Idaho – Teton Tactical Long Range Rifle Match
We will fire match#3 on the 1000 yd range using the pits. (0830) We should be finished 1230.
We will then move to the Cowboy side to fire the Unknown distance match. There are 15 targets with the closest being 200+ yards and the longest shot being 1000+ yards.
- Due to the closeness of some targets this will be a 308 CLASS match (no magnums) (.260, 6.5 Creedmoor etc are fine)
- The shooter will, if the first shot is a miss, be able to engage with NO MORE than 5 shots.
- When you hit a target, you will move to the next.
- You MUST fire at least 2 shots at each target or until you hit it but then, if you are a lightweight, you can move on without hitting it. If you move on without engaging it 5 times, you will receive a -5 point FTN.
Scoring will be as follows:
first round hit 10 points
2nd round hit 8 points
3rd round hit 6 points
4th round hit 4 points
5th round hit 2 points
GENERAL
This match will be an individual match consisting of 6 stages starting from 600 yards down to 100 yards. Rifle/ scope combinations are “ANY” for all stages. There will be a bolt class and an auto class. We will be walking. You must use the same rifle in all stages. Round count unlimited at all stages. Bring lots. No optics on the pistols.
STAGE 1 600 YARDS
Any position, any rifle/scope combination. Round count is unlimited.
The shooters will be given 2 min. preparation period. When the prep period has ended, The LOAD command will be given. The targets will appear from the pits. 1 target will be 1 Fig 11, 2 targets will be 2 Fig 11 and 3 targets will be 3 Fig 11
If only one target is on the carrier, the targets will remain up for 3 seconds If there are 2 targets, the targets will remain up for 5 seconds. If there at three targets, the targets will remain up for 8 seconds. The targets will be raised from the pits 3 times. You will receive a 3 target, a 2 target and a 1 target exposure at this stage in no particular order.
STAGE 2 500 YARDS
This stage is identical to STAGE 1
STAGE 3 400 YARDS
This stage differs only in targets. ONE target will stay exposed for 2 seconds (1 Fig 11), TWO targets (1 Fig 11, 1 Fig 12) will stay exposed for 3 seconds and THREE targets(2Fig 11 and 1 Fig 12) will stay exposed for 5 seconds.
STAGE 4 300 YARDS
Identical to STAGE 3 except 1 target is 1 Fig 11, 2 targets 2 Fig 12, and 3 targets 2 Fig 12 and 1 Fig 11.
STAGE 5 200 YARDS
3 exposures of 3 Fig 12, 3 seconds per exposure .
STAGE 6 100 YARDS
Same as stage 5.
STAGE 7 30 YDS PISTOL
Shooters will start at the high ready. Each shooter will have one Fig 12 that will move at a slow walk from shooters left to right. The targets will be up for 10 seconds. Unlimited rounds
SCORING
Scores will be as per scoring rings. Any target with no hits receives a -5 point FTN
