This 12-hour class started out as a private class for a lady from Idaho, and then she and Dennis agreed to open it up to our coaches. This is a two-day class taught by a been-there, done-that medic who worked for an armed enforcement division of the organization that has me so intimidated that with trembling hands I allow them to extort about a quarter to a third of my income each year. I don’t want to get political, so let’s move on. Anyway, Dennis has 10 lifetimes of real-world practical experience being first responder to many gunshot and other war wounds.
April 15 & 16, from 8am to 2pm
The class will be near Jackson Hole, location TBA. (Our county masters might allow us to mingle without wearing breath-restrictors by then.) Speaking of which, several people attending the class have exemptions from wearing a breath-impediment device, so if you are covid-concerned, this might not be the perfect opportunity for you. There is a chance that we will have to move the class to a surrounding county that is less fascist and draconian than Teton County, but again, I don’t want to get political. It just isn’t who I am.
Anyway, this class is perfect for those with beginner or advanced first aid knowledge, the instructor is excellent and while he often speaks of advanced things, I am still able to catch on to enough info that I learn a ton.
This class is open only to JHSE instructors and invited guests. We won’t charge JHSE coaches for this class, nor will we pay you to attend. Well, OK, Senior Lead Coaches who attend both days will be given a “bonus” of $100 and also $100 in Cabela’s purchases to go toward personal first aid kit supplies.
What to bring:
Whatever first aid stuff you have, if you don’t have your own kit, please grab one from the storage room at the range. Dress comfortably, you will be on the ground, you might get bloody, clothing might tear etc…

Please let me know by March 25 if you would like to commit to attending. -Shepard
